I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of your Despatch
of the 16th December 1858, No 55, forwarding for my
information copy of a letter from Rear Admiral Sir Michael
Seymour, reporting his intention to dispatch Her Majesty's
Ship Tribune from China to Vancouver's Island, with one hundred and
fifty Royal Marines
