Hamilton relates that the Paymaster General has been authorized to pay for Naval Services
of £36.18.0 for the expenses of entertainment
[meaning travel] of Col. Moody, while on board the Plumper from
23 to 28 January 1859.
I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of Her
Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you that the Paymaster General
has been authorized to pay to his account for Naval Services
the sum of £36.18.0 for the expenses of entertainment of
Col. Moody R.E. Lt. Governor of British Columbia on board
H.M.S. "Plumper" from the 23rd to the 28th January 1859.
