to inform the Colonial Office that the
Paymaster Generalhas been authorized to forward £1,270.10.1 to
Naval Servicesto pay the Admiralty for the
Freight of Stores sent to British Columbiaon Thames City in 1858.

In reply to Mr Elliot's Letter of the
16th April
last, I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's
Treasury to acquaint you that the Paymaster General has been
authorized to pay to the Account for Naval Services, the sum of
£1,270.10.1, in repayment of Expenses incurred by the Admiralty
for Freight of Stores sent to British Columbia per "Thames City"
in the year 1858.
