I have the honor to enclose herewith two congratulatory Addresses, one from the Municipal Council of New Westminster, and the other from the Inhabitants of NewWestminsterManuscript image Westminster, to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales upon the attainment of His Majority, which have been forwarded to me with the request that I would transmit them to Your Grace for presentation.

Draft reply, Newcastle to Douglas, No. 7, 23 January 1863, acknowledging receipt of letters of congratulation from the municipal council and the inhabitants of New Westminster, addressed to the Prince of Wales, celebrating his attainment of His Majority. Newcastle informs Douglas that the letters have been forwarded to HRH.
