Sir/
Having a son who is anxious to emigrate to one of our
Colonies, I should be obliged to you if you would be kind enough
to let me know what steps I am to take in order to obtain an
assisted passage for him to British Columbia—he is Twenty three
years of age and has worked for some time in an Engine Factory,
and is at present employed by a Farmer.
Perhaps you may be able to recommend me some book which might
give me a little information respecting the Settlement of British
Columbia, as to the climate &c. My income is under 130 pounds a year.
