Despatch from London.
Newcastle acknowledges receipt of Douglas's despatches containing transcripts of proclamations titled The British Columbia Land Registry Act 1861 and The Preemption Consolidation Act 1861, and informs Douglas that Her Majesty has been pleased to approve them.

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your despatches Nos. 60 and 61 of the 15th and 21st of October last, enclosing transcripts of two Proclamations entitled respectively No. 37 "The British Columbia Land Registry Act 1861," and No. 38 "The Preemption Consolidation Act 1861."
