I have the honor to be

As the Governor states that this sum of money has been put on the Estimates & that the Estimates have been confirmed I think we have little else to do except acke rect of this desph & the resolution, & say that H.M.G. do not feel themselves at liberty to deviate from the conclusion at which they have arrived on this subject & which has been duly communicated to the local Govt.
ABd 31 March/64
Draft.
I think it might be well just to point to the Despatches which contained that conclusion.
