I have the honor to inform you that the duplicate despatches named in the margin
Duplicates No. 31, 12 June, to No. 33, 16 June 1865. Circulars 3, 2, 10 and 15 June 1865.
have been received by me without the enclosures they profess to contain. The enclosures weredoubtlessManuscript image doubtless with the original despatches lost in the wreck of the American Mail Steamer "Brother Jonathan."
