My Lord Duke,
I have the honor to forward a reply from the Auditor to the
enquiries from the Lords Commissioner's of the Treasury respectingthe
the Crown Fund of Vancouver Island, transmitted in the Earl of
Carnarvon's despatch No. 4 of 8th January.
2. I trust that their Lordship's will not think it necessary
to disturb the arrangement made by Governor Kennedy and which
works satisfactorily.
