I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to state, for the information of the Duke of Buckingham & Chandos, with references to your letter of the 4th Inst, that My Lords approve of the payment of $500 to Mr E.J. Nesbitt, who has lost his appointment by the Union of Vancouvers Island and British Columbia, to cover the expense of his journey home; as recommended by His Grace.
