No. 21
Downing Street
2 May 1867
Sir,
I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 33 of the 19th of February forwarding a Petition from certain Indian Chiefs in British Columbia.

I have perused their Address with satisfaction, and hope that the answer which you have returned will tend to their contentment.
I have the honor to be
Sir,
Your most obedient servant
Buckingham & Chandos
