Buckingham requests Seymour to obtain three other complete copies … of the Acts passed by the Legislature of Vancouver Island since the year 1859 for the Colonial Office and complete sets for the other public Establishments [referenced] in the Circular Despatches of the 26th June 1857—28th March 1859 and 5th January 1865.
No. 31
11 June 1867
Sir,
Governor Kennedy with his Despatch No. 80 of the 3rd October last,
forwarded a complete Set of the Acts passed by the Legislature of
Vancouver Island since the year 1859.
I find that this is the only complete Set that is in the possession
of this Department, and and I would therefore request you to endeavour to
obtain three other complete copies to be retained in this Office.
I need hardly add how desirable it would be that the other public
Establishments to which reference is made in the Circular Despatches of
the 26th June 1857—28th March 1859 and 5th January 1865, should also be
in possession of copies of these Acts.
I have the honor to be
Sir,
Your most obedient
humble Servant Buckingham & Chandos
