Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 55
of the 5th May enclosing an "Ordinance respecting the Supreme Courts"
No. 8 of 1870 which has been passed by the Legislative Council of
British Columbia. I have to convey to you Her Majesty's confirmation
and allowanceof
of that ordinance upon the understanding that the error
which has been made in it as regards the salary of the Deputy registrar
will be amended at the earliest opportunity.
