I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt, on the 8th instant, of Your Lordship's Despatches, of the numbers and dates noted in the margin,
Batch of Despatches between Nos 1 & 4, not yet received. Presumed to be delayed at Portland. Originals No. 5, 24 January, to No. 13, 11 February 1871. Circulars 23 January and 2 February 1871. Confidential 6 February 1871.
and to transmit herewith the Schedules of those remaining unanswered.

This dispatch notifies the receipt of the C.O. mails of 28 Jan & 7 & 11 Feb. The C.O. mail of 21 Jan had not been received in the Colony at the date of this despatch. There were sent on that day despatches Nos 2, 3 & 4 and Circulars of 31 Decr & 10 Jan.
