My Lord,
I have the honor to forward to Your Lordship the usual copies of an Act passed by the Legislative Council entitled— An Act to exempt incertainManuscript image certain cases Cattle farmed on Shares and their increase from the operation of any Bankruptcy or Insolvency Laws.
2. The Attorney General's Report fully explains the object of this measure. In the circumstances of this Colony I regard theprovivisonsManuscript image provisions it contains as desirable, and I recommend the Act for Her Majesty's approval.

I see no reason why this Act should not be sanctioned. It has been passed without the slightest opposition, and is entirely a matter for the consideration & decision of the local Legislature.

Certainly. It seems to me impossible to read the report of the A.G. without seeing how entirely the case is one in which the settlers should be allowed to fight their own way thro' their own difficulties.
(In point of fact I should think the law was a good one.)
