Referring to my Despatch N 45, of 
8 instant, I have the
               honor to forward another copy of the same Resolutions therein
               enclosed, respecting the Civil List Act,
which
 which have been sent to
               me from Yale for transmission to Your Lordship.
               
               2. The so called Public Meeting was got up by the same persons
               who were active in the matter in 
Victoria; and Your Lordship may
               be able to form some opinion of the character of the assemblage
               from the annexed extract from
the
 the "Colonist" Newspaper of

                  April reporting their proceedings. The Colonist by no means
               usually shews any favor to the policy of the Government.
