Sir,
The enclosed letter is an Authority to the Chief Cashier of the Bank of England to deliver to the Crown Agents for the Colonies the New Zealand Government 5 per cent Debenture Bond No 1818 for £500, belonging to the British Columbia Sinking Fund (series 1873), for which you are one of the Trustees, which was drawn on the 17th ultimo, and will be paid off on the 15th instant.
The proceeds, when received, will be reinvested in the purchase of another New Zealand Government Bond for a like amount.
