I am directed by the Lords of the Council to transmit to you the
enclosed Order of Her Majesty in Council of the 16th instant,
specially confirming an Act, passed in March, 1871, to provide
for a permanent Civil List; and I am to request that you will be
pleased to lay the same before the Secretary of State for the
Colonial Department.
