Sir,
I have the honor to convey to you Her Majesty's gracious
confirmation and allowance of the Act No. 2 of 1871 of the Legislature
of British Columbia entitled "An Act to exempt the Lane and Kurtz
Cariboo Mining Company from the payment of Duties and Road and Bridge
Tolls on certain Machinery imported and yet to be imported by them for
Mining purposes," a transcript of which accompanied your Despatch No. 11
of the 10th of February 1871.
