Cormorant, Nesgually, the 7th day of October 1846, to Captain J.A. Duntze, of Her Majesty's ship Fesguard, being an Inclosure in the last:
Of a Letter dated Fort Vancouver, the 7th day of September 1846. signed

and Vavasour, dated the 1st day of November 1845, addressed to the Secretary of State for the Colonies:

Colonel Holloway, of the Royal Engineers, Canada:
And, of the Instructions sent by the Admiralty to the Commanding Officer, or any other Officer on the Pacific Station, relative to the Coals in Vancouver's
Island; and of the Correspondence between the Colonial Office and the Admiralty, on the same subject.

The documents mentioned in the 3d & 4th Paragraphs are secret & confidential Papers—which I have never seen, & which I should have thought there wd have been some objection to producing. The other requisitions should I suppose, be forwarded to the Admiralty to comply with.
