Hudson's Bay House

June 16th 1856

I am directed by the Governor of the Hudson's Bay Company to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 16th Instant, and to inform you that in accordance with Your request, the accompanying packet to the address of Governor Douglas will be forwarded to Vancouver's Island by the first vessel to be dispatched to that Island.
