I am directed by the Earl of Malmesbury to transmit to you, for the consideration of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, the accompanying Copies of a Letter and it's inclosures from the War Office suggesting that the land and buildings purchased for the use of the Oregon Boundary Commission should eventually be transferred to the Colonial Authorities at a valuation, insteadManuscript imageinstead of being disposed of to private parties.
