With reference to your Letter of the 22nd Octr last, I am commanded by the Lords Commissoners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you that the Paymaster General has been authorized to accept & pay a Bill drawn by James Douglas Esqre, Governor of Vancouvers Island, for the sum of £2000
For expenses connected with the occupation of Sn Juan by the Americans.
for the Service of the Colony.
