Dear Sir
I have to acquaint You that I came here Yesterday from Ireland intending to leave London as ordered, on the 30h inst. for Vancouver Island, via New York and Panama unless I shall in the interval receive further instructions, and that until I go my address will be as above in case of my services being required.

Acke. Say that we have no wish to detain him, & observe that the Lr from this Office of the 19 Sepr authorized him to defer his departure until Jany, & not until the month of Feby.

He proposes to leave on the 30th January. So perhaps as he is within the letter of the permission given him, it is hardly worth while to say much on that point. Perhaps he mt be told that he certainly ought on no account to remain in this country beyond the 30h instt.
