I am commanded by My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty, to state to you, for the information of the Duke of Newcastle, that in a letter dated the 25th Octr last, Captain Spencer of HMS Topaze, has forwarded a communication from the Officer commanding the Royal Marine Camp at San Juan Island, reporting that the regular Troops of the United States Government in theOregonManuscript image Oregon District, have been ordered to hold ready to be relieved by Volunteers.
