With reference to former correspondence on the subject of the examination of the Accounts of the Hudson's Bay Company in respect of Vancouver's Island, I am desired by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majestys Treasury to transmit to you the enclosed copy of a Report on this subject from Mr Andoe, dated 14 Ultimo.
I am to request that you willmoveManuscript image move the Duke of Newcastle, if he shall concur in the views and opinions expressed in that Report, to communicate with the Hudson's Bay Company; and I am to state that Their Lordships will be ready to consider any arrangement that may be proposed for the final settlement of the claims of the Company.
