I learn from Sir F. Rogers that it has been settled that hence forward we may draw up suitable answers in this Office to Addresses from the Colonies to H.R.H. the Prince of Wales.
General Knollys's note is merely meant to return us the original documents.
Inform the Govr that the Addresses of the Legislative Council of Vancouver & of the House of Assembly to the Prince of Wales upon the occasion of his marriage have been duly laid before HRH and that H.R.H. derives much satisfaction from the loyal and affectionate sentiments which they express.
