With reference to your Despatch No. 56 of the
20th August last,
reporting the provisional appointment of
Mr. Henry Rhodes, to be a
Member of the Legislative Council of the
Island of Vancouver, I have to
acquaint you that, having submitted the name of
Mr. Henry Rhodes to the
Queen in Council, Her Majesty has been pleased to approve his
appointment.
I transmit to you herewith a Warrant, under the Royal Sign Manual,
authorizing you to appoint
Mr. H. Rhodes to a seat in the Legislative
Council accordingly.
