Sir,
I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to acquaint you, for the information of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, that the sum of Twenty two pounds one Shilling (£22.1.0) is due to Commr Jolliffe of Her Majesty's Ship "Devastation" on account of expenses incurred in the Entertainments specified overleaf, and I am to request that you will move Mr Secretary Cardwell to give directions for that amount to be transferred to the credit of Naval Funds in the hands of the Paymaster-General.
