I am commanded by My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to transmit herewith, for the information of Mr Secretary Cardwell, an Extract of a letter dated the 27th November last, No 147—from rear Adml the Honble J. Denman—reporting his proceedings in affording protection to the Settlers at Comox, Vancouvers Island from a Tribe of Indians, called Euclataws, and that he had sent the "Clio" to afford protection andsupportManuscript image support to the British Settlers of Metlakahtla, British Columbia.
