With reference to your [Vancouver Island] despatch No 36 of the 27th August, 1 I transmit to you, herewith, the copy of a letter which I have received respecting the cost of the Buildings prepared for the Royal Engineers under Major Hawkins engaged in the survey of the American boundary, and I have to request that as soon as thebuildingsManuscript image Buildings are no longer required you will take steps for disposing of them, and remitting the proceeds to this Country as proposed by Major General Peel.
