With reference to your [VI] despatch No. 36 of the 27 August,
I transmit to you, herewith, the copy of a letter which I have received
respecting the cost of the Buildings
prepared for the Royal Engineers
under
Major Hawkins engaged in the survey of the American boundary, and
I have to request that as soon as the Buildings are no longer required
you will take steps for disposing of them, and remitting the proceeds
to this Country as proposed by
Major General Peel.
