M Brew, Chief Commissioner of Police in
British

2. I have informed
M Brew of the kind sympathy you
have manifested at the disasters which befel him, and it has
given me sincere satisfaction to communicate to him the
considerate act on the part of Her Majesty's Government in
granting him the sum of one hundred pounds (£100) to
re-imburse him for the losses he has sustained.
