Corry forwards a copy of de Courcy’s correspondence with the Secretary of the Admiralty and Real Admiral Baynes.

The minutes consider the correspondence not very satisfactory and put by.

Enclosed in the despatch is de Courcy to the Secretary of the Admiralty, 10 March 1859, transmitting a duplicate of his letter of proceedings to Baynes; and de Courcy to Baynes, 10 March 1859, relating the proceedings of the colony.

Sir,

I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to send you herewith for the information of Her Majesty's Secretary of State for the Colonies, a copy of a letter from Captain M. de Courcy of the HMS Pylades, dated the 10th March, together with a Copy of its enclosure relative to the State of Affairs in Vancouver's Island and British Columbia.
