In reply to your Despatch N 110 of the
13 March,
directing me in the event of a remittance of the sum of £67
which has been paid into the
Colonial Treasury by
Captain Gosset on account of his passage from
Ceylon
Ceylon to England, not
having been made to the Colonial Agents General, to abstain
from doing so, as it will be simpler and more convenient on
learning from me that the money is still in the Treasury
Chest, to procure the issue of a corresponding account from
the Treasury in the Mother Country, I have the honor to acquaint
your Grace that the Sum
of of Five Hundred pounds, having been
remitted from this Colony to the Agents General, they were on
the
10 February last requested to make this repayment on
account of
Captain Gosset, and I therefore presume that the
matter is already adjusted. Should it not be so, and, should
Your Grace find it convenient to make any alteration in the
arrangement I will take care that it
is is carefully observed as
far as we are concerned.
