With reference to your letter of 14th Ultimo, I am commanded by the Lords Commissoners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you, for the information of Mr Secretary Cardwell, that They have given directions to the Paymaster General to pay to the Account of the Crown Agents for the Colonies the sum of £2937.10s.6d being the excess of advances made by the Colonial Government of British Columbia, in respect of the Regimental Pay of the Royal Engineers lately servinginManuscript image in that Colony, over and above the Bills drawn upon England.
