Sir,
I have to acquaint you, for the information of Mr Secretary Cardwell, that, pursuant to the directions conveyed in your letter of the 31st ultimo, the Crown Agents paid to the credit of Naval Funds on the 7th instant the sums of £3.9.8, £1.11.3 and £69.18.2 on account of the Government of British Columbia.
The latter mentioned sum would have been paid on an earlier date, but the Crown Agents had a difficulty in obtainingtheManuscript image the necessary Receivable Order from the Paymaster General's Department.
