With reference to the Letters from this office of 22 June and 15 July 1867 preferring a Claim on account of stores supplied by the War Department for service of British Columbia amounting to £675.2.4 I am directed by Secretary Sir John Pakington to call your attention to the above letters, and to request that you will cause the above amount to be transferred to the credit of Army Funds, and that you will notify the same to this office.

Answer that the money has not yet been remitted or any answer recd to the despatch which was addressed to the Govr on this subject on the 19th July last, & that there are at present no Columbia monies in theManuscript image hands of the Crown Agents from which payment can be made.
