The Lords Commissoners of Her Majesty's Treasury have had before them your letter of the 29th ulto enclosing copy of a letter from the Crown Agents relative to the proposal to invest a portion of the sinking Fund of British Columbia Loans in the purchase of the Debentures of the Colony.
I am to state for the information of the Secretary of State that My Lords will not object to adiscretionaryManuscript image discretionary power being given to the Crown Agents for the investment, subject to the provisions of the Ordinance No. 6 of 1866, of the Sinking Funds of these Loans in the purchase of Debentures of B. Columbia or of Ceylon, New South Wales, Mauritius, Victoria, or Cape of Good Hope or New Zealand.
