Having received six month's leave of absence on half pay I
should be glad if instructions might be given to the Crown
Agents to issue to me half salary. I enclose Mr Hankins Letter
in which the leave is granted me.
I have the honor to be,
Sir,
Your most obedt Servt G. Williams
Mr Herbert
The Governor's report of this leave not recd.
Mr Birch says Mr Williams is a most respectable & honorable
man—& told him he had recd his 1/2 Salary up to the 10th May
& was short of money. His Salary is £150 a year.
I think on this letter he might have his 1/2 Salary from 10th
May to 30 June.
