At the request of Mr Edward Graham Alston the Registrar General of this Colony I have the honor to forward a Letter from him to Your Lordship requestingyourManuscript image your favorable consideration for promotion in the Public service.
2. I have already in my Confidential Despatch of 21st January 1870 expressed my opinion in favor of Mr Alston's character, claims and qualifications.
