Dear Sir
I owe you many thanks for your obliging note of the 2nd of December, respecting the "Ordinances" laid before the Assembly, on the 27th of May last, of which I omitted to forward copies at the time to the Secretary of State. The cause which led to that omission was the recollection that copies of all those Documents had been forwarded with the Minutes as they were passed and approved by the Council, anditManuscript image it therefore did not occur to me when transmitting my correspondence with the Assembly, that other copies of those ordinances would be wanted.
I now perceive the mistake we committed and will send with this packet the required documents.
