I am directed by the Lords Commissoners of Her Majesty's Treasury to transmit herewith for the information of the Duke of Newcastle with reference to Mr Elliot's letter of 18th January last—the enclosed copy of a letter dated 28th January from the Comptroller of the Stationery Office, with a specimen sheet of the Paper furnished to the Governor of Vancouvers Island.
