Referring to your letter of the 13th inst on the subject of the
State of the Vancouver Island Government Accounts at this Office, I
have to report, for the information of the Duke of Newcastle, that
since writing my letter of the 23rd ultimo the Agents General have
received a communication from the Government of that Colony
requesting the transfer in the Books of this Office of the sum of
£500 from Loan Account toGeneral
