Sir,
A Client of mine here Mr Charles Vinter Tailor & Robemaker has a claim of £30-9 against G.H. Cary Esq Consul British Columbia which has now been standing for a long period. A principal portion of the Account being incurred for his Court Dress on his Presentation at Court. Application has been made to him but no reply received. I have ventured to trouble you to ascertain if it is within the province of the Colonial Office to assist my Client in the recovery of this debt by a notification from you to Mr Cary or otherwise.
