With reference to your letter of the 22nd of January last, I am directed by the Earl of Clarendon to transmit to you, to be laid before Mr Secretary Labouchere, copies of a Despatch and of its inclosures from Her Majesty's Minister at Washington relative to the repayment of a sum of money advanced by the Governor of VanCouvers Island to the Governor of Washington fortheManuscript image the prosecution of hostilities against the Indians.
